I was enjoying this fairly slow paced film and Ralph Fiennes performance until the ridiculous moment the bomb went off. From that moment on it morphed into a woke bullshit lecture. Absolutely horrendous dross culminating in the Catholic Church electing to appoint a transgender male who needed a hysterectomy as its Pope! Proceeded by a rant about the good of islamic car bombers and attempt to portray anyone objecting to the islamification of Europe as rightwing dinosaurs. A truly awful movie and should be avoided at all costs. Its an insult to Christianity and can Hollywood stoop any lower? By the way how on earth Ralph Fiennes does not win a Best Actor Oscar for remaining straight faced when the new male Pope reveals he needs a Hysterectomy is beyond me. Truly an incredible piece of acting right there!

I was really looking forward to watching this, but my god, it's awful. Pretentious tripe. Every possible cliche is wheeled out from a shaven headed prosecutor, a blind kid, and a dog nearly dying. Just awful. Just when you think it cannot get any worse, just wait till you see the ending! One of the most overhyped movies you will ever see.
