Had to read this book for grade 12 English. Upon writing this review I have just now finished the final pages of this wondrous piece of literature. While some frown upon the depth of imagery and description that Fitzgerald uses in his story progression, it is the dominant aspect of this book that amazed me. The vocabulary is astonishing and worthy of an oscar. That in and of itself. is cause enough to read this book. The plot is not incredibly interesting, but it is certainly well-written and intriguing. Beyond all, the verbosity of Fitzgerald's writing is what drives this book and its plot.
A true wonder of literature, but it loses 1 star because of its lack of eventfulness, and makes up the other 4 in its content.
