This movie ignores a lot of what makes Scooby doo. Such as character's catch phrases and recurring jokes. The biggest mistake they did is take out the mystery solving and the villain unmasking elements. Yeah, they've been done many times, but that is the formula that has been used for 50 years. There are ways to work around it, many older adaptions have done it. I feel bad for Frank Welker not getting the role of Fred. We don't care about celebrity casts, half of all kids probably don't even know who Simon Cowell is. The whole plot of Scoob! just feels like someone grabbed a random fan-fiction off the internet to rush production.

Couldn't even focus on the movie. Does it even count as a horror movie? A lot of the visual effects looked so cheap. The Cucoy costume looks like they stole it from the trash of a local Halloween store. Also the dust filters used over the camera when they entered his cave were so lazily edited in. They weren't even tracked to the camera movements, did someone edit this movie on a free video editor app?

A really terrible concept on how they could use internet to communicate with alien mutated sharks. Its as if this movie was made by people who didn't understand how the internet worked. It went from killer shark to E.T. friendly shark alien but turned that part of the story down. Acting was just hilarious, but overall it wasn't a "Its so bad its so good"
