Goofy but tongue in cheek funny. When the plot line is that Santa gets kidnapped by a witch, and the Rock has to rescue him back for the global Christmas Eve delivery, the professional critics have to lay off and let it go. Sometimes, especially this December, stupid funny is just perfect.

Interesting premise. The male lead is too vanilla and doesn’t measure up. Not much charisma or character of his own (2 stars). The female lead is charming, adorable, likeable and lovely (5 stars). She carried the movie I must say. Celine Dion was wonderful and added greatly to the movie.

This show has the most amazing, artistic, and cool opening scene and the concluding scenes in all of movie cinematography, and in between, nearly 30 hours of 20 episodes, this movie is fun, funny, heart warming, poetic and gangsta cool satisfying. All about revenge against evil and justice. It has among the best character development screenplay for a TV series I’ve seen. It will entertain you mightily for a week of binge watching.

I was expecting the same ‘wow’ experience as from the 2017 movie. But it dragged on for much of the movie in semi-depression and sadness without the pulsing excitement one expects from an action super hero movie. Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig characters were great. But the character development of the villain was sorely deficient and made the movie less believable. The movie was a miss. Not a good sign when I found myself wondering how much longer before it’s over.
