It is heartbreaking what societal restrictions make these girls feel they 'should' be, but also uplifting when at the end they stand up for themselves with what they will not do. The final scene Amy looked so free, I was in tears, it gave you hope that perhaps some of the bullying would stop and they could remain children just a while longer.
