So far it's okay. Definitely not what most of the people who didn't even watch it said. The plot felt intriguing but definitely, some content or scenes that didn't make sense to the overall plot. Interested enough to follow the story and we'll see where it goes

It was alright. As Miyazaki's final film, it had the best, and worst of Miyazaki. A great worldbuilder and visionary man, but also one who can struggle to make a story feel finished instead of incomplete.

The ending like others have stated felt unsatisfying and confusing but otherwise an ok film.

I made a review on this in 2019, but I am rewriting my review because of the recent Taliban events in 2021. The story talks about the rough life under the Taliban and the great life in the US. It's an amazing book and worth the read. But I am going to give a warning to people that what the Taliban did where horrible and now since we are living in a reality of it happening again just know what you read could possibly happen in the near future again.

It's great for people who want to learn basic rocket science. With smaller and easier planets to explore it can be fun. Though it is hard at first learning how to control a rocket, It will be a blast. For anyone who can't learn how to play, I recommend tutorials. And if you put in the effort I have been able to
Get to the Mun in 3 days
Got a lander to Duna in 3 months
Rendezvous with spacecraft in 5 months
Got crew to every single planet except Eve in 9 months
Build an SSTO a year later
I can't wait to play more!

Good movie but never really tied into the book like Jurassic Park did.
