I was sold in the first 5 minutes! I mean Don Cheadle’s narration alone was enough to deliver the promise ofquality. Then came the young man Elisha- who nailed the protagonists role - as the believable and charismatic 12 yr preteen who captures the complete essence of a young black male child navigating his identity in a confusing and racially unforgiving time. I felt like I knew him cause I did. The rest of the cast was equally entertaining and endearing — all folks I know as well or want to! Call this an early prediction but I have feeling this will be my favorite new show of the season— be cool and check it out
