The scriptwriting team, you guys need to find new jobs. Season 2 is beyond bad, like there's no word to describe it. All value of season 1 are gone now, striped bare, empty out, there's no emotions except for the talk in ep6 between Joel and Ellie - but the rest is just a big chaos of Ellie/Bella coming out and getting woked. We don't care if this is another coming out movie like Elliot Page did in The Umbrella Academy, it's not of the viewers' concerns if the actresses/actors identify with what. Just give us the plot that satisfies with real climax worthy of a show - not random so-called emotional filler about how Ellie character develops. It dragged from season 1 (not to mention season 1 was a clear show of LGBTQ targeted, each episode clearly focused on either Gay or Lesbian romance, then Brotherhood and we get like 2 episodes of real adventure). Season 2 is about Lesbian and Bisexuality. What the hell? It's 2025, it's not that we don't support gender-reveal, but it's so normalized that WE DON'T CARE ANYMORE. Let Bella do her things on social media or create a Youtube clip or be on talkshow to share with the world for God sake, and leave the movie as is. For 7 episodes, you couldn't have elaborated more on the relationship between Wolf and Scar, the mysterious party involving in the war, or what was the war about. This whole Season is a shitshow and I'm so surprised HBO green lit this whole thing for Season 3 because it's not worth it, and I say this with all my heart. Let me repeat again: - We don't care if Bella knows how to sing. - We don't care if Bella cuts a pattern to her/his brow to be more manly. - We don't care if Bella starts dressing like a man with permanent jeans and Converse. - We don't care if Bella tries to be more manlier than the men, then gets rescued BY the men. It's either if she/he is strong, please make them strong ALL THE WAY. It's so bad you portrait a character that is weak as a twig and then put them on gun duty, while the way Ellie/Bella holds the gun is obnoxious. They are holding it BEYOND the head, what on Earth??? We care for the emotions between the characters, not deep dive into Ellie's teenager years and find something to relate to her because The Last of Us's viewers are full of grown adults. We care for the happening with the zombies, the sides, the villain Abby. Season 2 is bad to the point I rooted for Abby just because. At least she has a cause and she's fighting for it without much of a baggage to care or to show, like Ellie. And no, I can assure a lot of fans will not be watching Season 3. You can check the forums and reddits, we're all quitting. So to avoid humiliating yourself with the lowest rating in history for Season 3, stop it while you can. It's not too late, for real for real.

There was this review from a man named Dr. J T spending an entire paragraph just to criticize a woman (Natalie Portman)'s eyebrows. I think it's a huge success for this movie to just trigger the sh!t out of men like those, and such a reminder for myself that even for a nonchalant script like this, a pure entertaining movie with no tricky plot or twist, can bring out the worst for people who just desperately tried to express themselves as a critic. And he did not forget to repeatedly excuse himself from "not being a critic", mentioned multiple times, yet turning back criticize the movie like it's the last time he gets to watch something with depth and probably, a cure of cancer. The movie is not THAT bad, I did not fully enjoy it either and there were so many loose ends, bad supporting characters (Deb, Murphy, Detective Jamal), and probably this may be the last American movie to be filmed in different countries outside the USA without being subject to Trump's new 100% tariff "to save Hollywood" -- BUT (huge but) if you have low expectation, this movie can be a great time-killer for a relaxing Friday night. Out of the 10 movies on any subscription, they cannot be all good. Actors can have many side quests before they land their big awarded act, so don't expect all Americans will be OHs and WOWs. Only kids do that, guys.

I was worried Anna with her elegant appearance would not fit for this film requiring hardship from a well-trained, experienced soldier. But apparently, with the director's help, she has been dragged through hell (literally) haha. Love it, love the movie and how wonderful AppleTV keeps producing high quality bombshell like this. Oh and if I were to make one change, it would to add more things to Miles Teller's role. He did a lot of things but mostly on a purpose, he got away with a lot of fight scene and always the hero that saved the day. Until the very end one small tree branch and he got wrecked, the man got no endurance urgh. Overall, it's been a very long time I saw a movie this great.

Spoilet alert. SEASON 2 After season 2, I decided to give this show one-star review instead of two. The plot keeps spiraling down nonstop. There's absolute no sense of how the innies know absolutely anything. They have 2 years trapped in the company, however, they know how to drive, they know the continents, they know the workaround of the world? The showrunners should have spent less money on illustrations and more money on developing a proper plot. Cut down all the unnecessary slow scenes or landscape scenes because we don't ask for Nature Channel. Really hope Apple TV does not greenlit Season 3. This show needs to stop. SEASON 1 This show deserves more two-stars than the seeding five-stars in this rating section. I wholeheartedly agree with Mark's review on how incoherent the show has been in Season 1. Most are just fillers without properly exploring the affect of serverance socially and individually. By episode 5, the show desperately wants to invite more thriller scenes making it feel coerced and personally, I feel like I wasted my time watching this whole thing. Irving's plot was poorly written, there's no sense of what he's doing why he's doing and how. Innie Irving got off hook for a couple of minutes and instinctively knew how to drive a car? Helly R. out-of-nowhere developes a romantic feeling with Mark S. while most of their times were spent on discovering the hallways and plotting plans? Mrs Cobert serves as a cult follower getting too involved in her employee's life, without a proper explanation until the very end. Having straped the baby to the car seat while in a hurry rushing to Helly S.'s convention instinctively knows the destination? All of that just prove how shallow and pretentious the directors are writing this script, adding tons of fillers just to capture the viewers' time. Personally I call this cheap psychological thriller. And I'm still surprised Apple green lit this series for Season 2. Poor thing!

Surprisingly good! There's no pressure for actors to keep pressing serious/action-packed movie while rom-com or action-com movies on holidays are equally fun and enjoyable to watch. People just grow too much of themselves that they think a movie for kids or PG all ages can disgust them. Get a life.

Gonna say this once even though I'm late to the game like 3 years later, Naomie's acting to be a super villain is too forced, I needed to pause mid movie because of this wrong casting.

Season 1 started strong with its captivating cast, but the script ultimately falters. Some screenwriters become so invested in the social or political message they want to convey that they forget the audience's entertainment needs. This film tackles a well-worn theme, and its approach feels heavy-handed, especially considering how effectively other movies have explored similar territory. The show initially establishes a mysterious atmosphere with its lush tropical palette, suggesting a dark exploration of human nature. However, the suspense quickly dissipates as the plot's buildup becomes predictable and rushed, all unfolding in less than 15 minutes. The ending lacks closure, offering no additional episode to explain the characters' fates or the significance of the final event. The last 15 minutes are a confusing rush, leaving the viewer to piece together the film's message about race and social class. This attempt at profundity feels misguided, especially considering the film's initial horror movie vibes. For a masterclass in social commentary disguised as horror, look no further than Bong Joon-ho's "Parasite." The strong cast is the film's saving grace. Without their performances, this movie would likely be forgotten.

Most of the reviews here are seedings or promotional materials. And I might get a lot of hate for this but here it goes: This movie doesn't do it for me. The cast is great, the writing is great in ep1 and 2. But from ep3, everything seems repetitive. The story always goes one-sided: The protagonist sets an objective, in order to do so he needs negotiate with a new character. But then that new character sets him on a journey to retrieve something, kill someone or do something as requested with utmost secrecy. In favor of him doing just so, the character will grant him his wishes. But then in the mud, Eddie will involve his brother, will find out about the secrets reluctantly of course, and then Susie comes in with her helping hands and solves most of the problem for poor Eddie. It's so repetitive! The soundtrack is great, good timing, good shots, nice jokes and all. But the script goes downhill and very lack luster! I'm at ep4 but know for sure Eddie and Susie will have a sparkle. Know for sure it'll be a trouble with the Princess. But it's absurd in the first few episodes why Susie keeps going too far to help Eddie, and that is not because she is using his land for her business or liking him for that matter (this storyplot isn't established yet). In all, the script can only carry the story so far, but doesn't have the necessary clue to stick it all together. I'm dropping out at ep4!

I'm not a big fan of The Big Bang Theory, and haven't watched any of Kaley's movies. I'd like to think this movie as my 'first impression', and oh boy, I was so disappointed. First half of the movie, it tries SO hard to become something of a deep, espionage movie. But in reality, it's just another 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' done poorly (while we also have a newly updated version of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' in 2024). The emotional bond between the couple isn't there, and half of the time the main protagonist seems to undergo some sort of deep thoughts and planning (it's predictable and not that deep of a plan in the end). The other half is filled with trillion angles of her face and body gestures like a model photoshoot. You can actually see her portraiting herself like a beauty pageant in the trailer! I was so annoyed with the close-up zooms and what color her eyes are (!?!) which is completely irrelevant to the plot afterwards. The rest I can say, the amount of blood in a movie about an assassin can be contained in a cup. Action scenes are done abruptly, cut short, too much dialogues with no flashbacks or concrete backstory to support what is happening at the moment and why the actors need to do what they are doing (motive). The producers only cared for the casting of side characters and locations, like how this blended family should be as real as possible, but they just don't know how to make them into a family, emotionally. The final chasing scene is redundant, even the main protagonist cannot show how she resents the villain actress who did her wrong when she was young. But then again, the movie also did not show what was THAT WRONG THING she went through her entire childhood. SO many plot holes, such a waste of time. I did watch movies with bad plot and production but the actors can still carry the movie through and through (see 'WeCrash' 2022 starring Jared Leto and Anne Hatheway). However, Kaley didn't do it for me. Maybe she should stick to comedy genre.
