I really enjoyed Seasons 1, 2, and 4 they were gripping, emotional, and intense. But after that, it became tiresome to watch. The story keeps circling around Hannah, and the constant attempts to get her back just feel repetitive. It’s like the same loop over and over, Hannah, rescue plans, people dying. At some point, you just want to say, “Can we move on already?” It feels dragged out, and that tension that once made the show powerful now feels tiresome.
That said, what kept me watching in the beginning was the powerful message behind it. It’s terrifying how one handmaid, stripped of all power, could still rise with courage and hope in such a brutal, totalitarian regime. That part of the show the theme of resistance and inner strength was what made it so compelling.
