This Tv series has absolutely NOTHING to do with the books. I went into it thinking of seeing my favorite childhood detective actually solving murders, instead of a really dark and twisted show where GHOSTS ACTUALLY EXIST!!!! The supernatural element of the show. Completely ruins the mystery behind anything because the answer is a ghost anyway. The lead character who is supposedly Nancy Drew is not written to be likable at all, Unlike the books where Nancy is a cheerful teenager, this one is just depressed. This show would have probably done better without affiliating itself to the books. Because fellow readers will agree. That this show is an insult to the character arcs. The restaurant they work in..... A complete joke. It's depressingly empty (at all times) for plot convenience. And the sheer HYPOCRISY of Nancy in the show Gets to me. Overall if I really have to say, this show should associated itself with the books and they might have done better. P.S talking about my favorite character Hannah gruen. There is no Hannah Gruen.
