This book is written in the same caliber as the original series! It feels more like a “behind the scenes” look at the story instead of a boring re-telling. It definitely doesn’t replace the original, but it adds depth and insight into characters and events that were going on because of Edwards ability to read minds. The BEST part is looking into Alice’s visions in my opinion. Lots of cool backstories and such as well as Edward remembers things in the past. However until she writes the whole series like this, it’s going to just feel unfinished and unsatisfying (because the story obviously ends at the end of book 1, when it’s meant to be a 4 part story...) so I really hope she does the other ones as well. Just maybe without the 10 year gap this time.
