i would have given this movie at least 4 stars if only because ralph fiennes is superb as always..in fact he's so good, you forget he's acting. stanley tucci and john lithgow are totally miscast in my opinion. two lesser known/unknown actors should have been cast in those rolls for it to have worked for me. the "twist" or whatever you want to call it at the end, is why i gave this movie 1 star. i guess i didn't realize that the dead pope and catholic church are "woke" now. this one takes the cake.

absolutely captivating. so realistic it made me feel like what it might have been like in america during that time period. and i was glad i didn't live then. the acting was spot on, and the story itself was compelling. it seems highly unlikely there will be a follow up to it, and i hope there isn't. a stand alone limited series that puts you right there.. back when america was wild and untamed, and every group wanted their piece of it no matter the cost.

all i can say is thank god for a season 3!!!!!!!!!

absolutely lovely! the scenery is magnificent and the story delightful! even if you don't like opera, you can't help but fall in love with the characters and the actors who play them. the singing whether dubbed or real was amazing. i'll never understand how they did it! i loved the ending so much. made me want to move to scotland and sit in the pub!

so far all it does is go from one thing to the next without even one explanation of anything. some might find that interesting and how the show should be. i just find it frustrating and dumb, and i'm betting on nothing is explained or resolved by the last episode. i think if i see that swiggly symbol one more time i'll lose it. will watch till the end, but not holding out hope for a satisfying conclusion.
