I love this series. Superb acting and script. Can’t recommend highly enough, All acting is wonderful but I have to mention the actress who plays the main characters mum - it’s like being in the room with her.

An engaging fantasy. Every time I looked at the lovely Daphne a vision of “Sally” from “Coronation Street” appeared before my eyes. Historically incorrect in many ways but it’s worth watching just to see the extremely handsome and eloquent Duke of Hastings.

I was engrossed from episode 1. Brilliant acting from the main actor playing Behzat C and I loved the storyline of the relationship of him and his brother. Fantastic storylines each episode, all with a twist. An interesting glimpse into Turkish society which still sadly seems to turn a blind eye towards violence to women, particularly wives. It is violent but also has light relief, and portrays the strong bonds between the officers of the Ankara Homicide Dept and their captain. Unmissable I

It certainly opened my eyes up as to the treatment of women in different sectors of Turkish society. Slow burn and beautifully acted, however I found it depressing.

Best show I’ve ever seen. I didn’t watch the last episode because I couldn’t bear it to be over!

I loved every minute of this show. The characters were warm and believable and the writers beautifully interweaved the storylines. I did not want to watch this show because it has sub titles! Not a good reason, I know! but I’m so glad I did. It lifted my spirits but not in a “cheesy” way, and I can’t wait for season 3.

Absolutely original and brilliant. Gripping.
