This show has quickly become my favorite anime, and for a variety of reasons. After having this show recommended to me, I started watching it while I drew as background. After the first episode, I found that I hardly drew because I was so enraptured in the story. It was that good. At first glance, I assumed it was going to be a cute, anthropomorphic, feel-good show about a taxi driver. But I was wrong. It was much, much more. This show subverted my expectations, and actually CHANGED the way I think about anime. Characters that seem minor actually have their own motivations and stories, dialogue that is witty and straight to the point, and a heart-wrenching realism to it make this show a hidden gem. And the opening, THE OPENING!! The way your view and your very mindset is changed by this show turns the intro into not only a bop, but a goldmine of clues and symbolism alluding to the shows epic twist. This show is the perfect example of not judging a book by it's cover. 5/5 Go watch Odd Taxi. You won't regret it. I promise.
