It's a good film, I watched it for University as part of a class on Spanish Culture. The language is relatively easy to follow (as a learner) and I've found that the film ties in with a lot of the history at the time, from example Franco's idea of Spain, the Marshall Plan and how cleverly Berlanga used Franco's idea of Spain as a satire against him. No wonder the film won the award for Best International film at the Cannes Film Festival in 1953.
