This movie is a painfully unnecessary sequel that completely misses the dark magic of the original. The forced musical elements make the film feel awkward, while the plot drags without any meaningful direction. Joaquin Phoenix’s once-haunting portrayal of Arthur Fleck is diluted, and Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn fails to bring any depth to her character. Iconic scenes from the first film are cheapened, making this follow-up feel like a disjointed cash grab rather than a continuation of a powerful story.
