Personally, I enjoyed the reimagining of She-Ra far better than this. As light hearted as the She-Ra show was, it took the time to develop the characters over multiple seasons. Gave that show a LOT of depth.
With this iteration of He-Man, we are given scarce minutes to become acquainted with the new performances. Yes, the show is said to be a direct sequel to the original series but the performers are all new and in that sense, so are the characters.
Revelation would have been far better served doing a few stand alone episodes to let us find a connection with the characters and then pull the rug out, up ending things mid-season. The end of Episode 5 would have made a great cliffhanger for Season 1 instead of mid-season.
Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Isn't terrible, isn't great.
I think it was just poorly executed.
