Good story in general, but (spoilers!!!)
It felt like the "gift ceremony" was taken from a fantasy book and not a scifi book(was it Christmas on the space station or something? 😂).
Ending was an easy (lazy?) Deus ex Machina.
Some promise for sequel, but author said he's done with that and back to writing...fantasy books!
