Luca Guadagnino’s film and direction cracked the door for leading role newcomer Timothée Chalamet, to which the 23 year old kicked the door down and announced himself as one of the best actors in the business. Call Me By Your Name is a movie about nothing which happens to also be about everything. Chalamet’s Elio and Arnie Hammer’s Oliver brief, yet sweltering relationship surpasses stereotypical gay storylines and somehow manages to leave everyone rooting for them. 5 stars.

Three lead female characters, all masterfully crafted and woven together through different combinations of malice, lust, and selfishness. Stone and Weisz are memorable, yet Colman is utterly mesmerizing.
