This was such a beautiful movie! When I saw it in theaters I literally had NO idea why some people didn't like it. Tim Burton did a marvelous job. This one wasn't nearly as dark as his other films like people are saying. I think it's okay for young children to see. There are sad moments, and times of danger that deal with animal cruelty and criticism of large corporations that kids might not understand. But it is so mild that it's nothing too traumatizing and it ends on a happy note. The effects and scenery of the whole movie are gorgeous and I thought it was perfectly cast. Overall very sweet message of courage and love with an adorable elephant as the protagonist that will tug at your heartstrings. Go see it for yourself and see what you think! It was a sweet adaption of the original and I can't wait to buy it on DVD.💙🐘
