What I love about the show is the fact that it's both similar to Scooby Doo but at the same time it's also different. Same, because something weird happens, and Kolchak tries to crack the case, but different, because the monster is real and not someone hiding behind a monster mask to scare the stuffing out of people. By far the first episode is the scariest, because you only get one brief shot of the ripper's face near the end.
