Deltarune definitely has the same charm as Undertale with the quirky characters, amazing soundtrack, and engaging storytelling with a little sprinkle of mystery. Would I say Deltarune is better than Undertale? I'm not sure. Though, each game has its own unique personality which makes both games 10/5 in my book. Can you play Deltarune before Undertale? You could, but it would be better to play Undertale first. I played Undertale first and Deltarune has so many Undertale references which makes it more fun to talk to the characters. It really warms your heart seeing that the lovable monsters from Undertale are not trapped underground but rather are living a normal life on the surface. I hope I'm still alive in 999 years to play the 2nd chapter. Thank you Toby Fox and his team for another great game that I will definitely have a special place in my heart for like Undertale does.

Undertale is a game that will forever have a special place in my heart. Even after 5 years, I still love Undertale and I recently went back and listen to their soundtracks. This is a game for me that likes to build relationships with the characters but also would like a gameplay element to challenge my dodging skills. Each main character feels real and each of them has their own motives, hopes and dreams. They feel so real that I never started a genocide route because I don't think I have the heart to do it (and because the last boss seems super hard). You can see that a lot of effort has been put into the coding too with different dialogues and outcomes depending on the actions you take. The mysteries hidden throughout the game are really fun to see and I love it since everyone is making theories about them. I really recommend you to play this game and I'm sure that you won't be disappointed.
