[MINOR SPOILERS]:
The last of us 2 was not all as bad as it seemed, players seemed to have drawn in a lot of hate, making it look like a disappointing sequel. For me however, it was not. It was a great game that kind of lacked in storytelling. There have been numerous characters killed off, and no one seemed to care. Not only that, but the sequel to the first game now needs its own sequel because of the series of events that have taken place throughout the second game. The second game has created a story/theme that I entirely don’t agree with, instead of exploring a rotten decaying earth with your companion. It sparked new problems that arosed from another series of events that happened in the first game. What I was looking for was a game that had unexplored areas to traverse through with your now strong built relationshiped Joel, however it weighed to much on the end of the first game. Which hindered us from having an amazing sequel. All in all though, stunning visual design and attention to detail, play style was like the first which was good, new collectibles to find throughout your game which I though was an amazing new feature, nice amount of player engagement, the flashbacks were good, and there was still parkour, which I love. Even though it sort of failed us as a sequel, we empathize what happened throughout the game more than what it delivered, and what it delivered was a terrific adventure through Seattle.
