So, the 90s "Jumped the shark" euphemism has a 2019 successor - "Shagged the Queen."
This series strays too far from the groundwork setup in episode 1 that hinted of a quasi-James Bond dramatic spy thriller. That show would've been great! But the needless and silly introduction of the occult, the tiresome political subplots, and finally having a "thank you" romp with Her Majesty, this thing clearly has more fanboy underpinnings than literary. They clearly put a lot of effort into the look of the show, but the storylines don't honor the production well.
The cast is great, although the Thomas Wayne character devolves into more of a smarmy whiner than the brash and cunning fellow we started with. And the story arc of the tyrannical dad who flip-flopped to a doting patriarch stretched credulity.
