Would someone please tell the directors to re-read the books. The reason why the HBO series, Game of Thrones was so good was because they followed the books. Not closely, but close enough that you could follow and understand why the change was made. Back stories and character build, not bad. However there’s a lot wrong here, how hard would it have been to have Loial open the way gate by adjusting the Avendesora leaf? That was an easy win. AND it takes away from his character build and a major part of the story. Frustrating… Robert Jordan had an idea when he wrote the books and this is not it. Do better.
