I read this book and loved it for the depth of characters. I was supremely disappointed by the video series which I found to be w/o the subtle complexity of said book. I found it to be adolescent and pedestrian. After the initial sexual awakening, I wondered who was presenting such dull material and why. I am frankly perplexed by accolades.
