NO SPOILERS
The main reason I wanted to watch this movie wasn’t because of the Heroine but because of the villains. I was genuinely curious to see Cheetah and how they were going to portray her. When I found out Kristen Wiig (who I enjoyed in “Bridesmaids” & “Paul”) was hired to play the role of WW’s nemesis, I was like, “WHAT?!” It made me fear they were gonna ruin the character. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Kristen played a believable Cheetah. The only thing that disappointed me about it was how little we got to see of Cheetah because they did that dark lighting cheat so that any flaws with the CGI wouldn’t be as noticeable. She stole the film for me. I loved her character and how she evolved. Now, though I had no interest in watching the first film (I didn’t & still really don’t like who they cast as Wonder Woman. She’s pretty but that’s not enough for a character as iconic as WW) & and mild interest in watching the second, I’m now looking forward to the third. Hopefully, we get more Cheetah and the backstory of how things work out for her.
And of course, Pedro Pascal ate up every scene he was in because he’s got it like that. He gave us all the emotions in this movie. I found myself both loving his character and disliking him at the same time. It’s a very hard balance to achieve but he does it flawlessly.
