This movie highlights the past issues of the country as well as the current issues. Unfortunately if you aren’t African American you will try and downplay the brilliance of this film. That can be expected by privileged white people who don’t want to acknowledge the stains of this countries history. Constantly we deal with double standards and complex issues that our counterparts don’t have to deal with but yet we still succeed and thrive. Great movie!!
