It is basically a girl-power movie. It is almost like an over-zealous clique of women from the Women and Genders Studies Department pervades Hollywood like some highly infectious pathogen with the singular goal of forcing everyone to see the world as they do, leaving destruction in their wake. Or maybe Hollywood has been badgered into a trance by the #MeToo movement and they cannot dare explore any idea in their storytelling without wrapping it in some feminist superstructure. As if ideas have no merit without validation from feminists. The result is a monotony and a predictability which dilutes every ounce of entertainment value. Watching these movies is like being forced to seat through a 6-hour feminists indoctrination session.

Started watching the movie and it said "based on a true story" or something like that. Then I saw this Victorian character coming to the launch party of a scientific expedition dressed in what will be today's equivalent of thongs and bras or a bikini. That made me pause the movie to do a little Google search of this extraordinary feminist heroine, and how come I never heard about her. Then I was like "oooooh, it is an ultra-woke movie" when I discovered she was not only a completely fictional character but had actually replaced a real male scientist. Couldn't continue watching the garbage.
