if you are looking for an authentic Regency period drama, then turn away. This is not intended as a social commentary of the period. Jane Austin, it is not. Fun, beautiful, visually and musically accomplished, well acted, that it is. I loved the music, I loved the multiracial cast. Look no further than Duke of Hastings, my dears... and amazing Lady Danbury. It is keeping close to the book's storyline and I am hoping that the other seasons will be as faithful to it as this season has been. I am hoping that Viscount Bridgerton's love interest will be Asian or from far east. Can't wait! Altogether 8 seasons, right?
