There's no denying that Kong: Skull Island was an epic movie! I really like this movie because Kong is my favorite monster. My only problem is the lack of character development. The only characters that developed were Marlo and Kong. I hope Godzilla vs Kong has more character development. But what I loved were the action sequences and Packard's relationship with Kong. This is the first movie that I saw where a Samuel L. Jackson character was actually hateable! The action scenes reminded me of Jurassic World, which is one of my favorite movies. This movie really showed what made Kong exciting! His design is really good too. It stayed true to the original Kong's design, unlike Toho's design. My favorite scene is where Kong makes the helicopters crash. The CGI was really well used there, and it looked epic. This movie is very cringe worthy. If you cannot handle gore, do not watch this movie! It is very gory!
