- its corny
- the characters aren’t likeable. To me the characters were just ‘there’. The only character I was rooting for or cared about was Kelnacca and I dont speak shyriiwook so his lines coulda sucked too for all I know. Nobodies lines were notably cool or interesting, and there was no bonding moment or arc between myself and any character throughout the show. Master Sol, Mae, Yord and Torbin were the closest characters I had any sort of interest in, but I woulda thrown them all off the edge of a cliff for a three second sniff of Mace Windu or someone like him
- the acting isn't great. There’s a lot of talking that just feels like people saying stuff written in front of them. A lot of awkward movements and poses
- it contradicts much of the lore of Star Wars that many fans appreciate.
- too many lightsabers malfunctioning, I get that it happens but it doesn’t have to be every fight
-in fight scenes there was a bit too many ‘reaction shots’ that just slowed it down and made the fight seem unrealistic. Whether its bland conversations in the middle of a fight, or a five second facial closeup of a jedis reaction to their lightsaber turning back on, it all just made it feel very fake. If you stop in the middle of a fight and take 3+ seconds to say some cheesy line, the other person would just stick a lightsaber through your chest
- I think the lines weren’t good either. They were either cheesy or too unnatural. I like in movies where the viewer is forced to come to their own conclusions based on what they see in the show, and not just giving the character lines that say exactly what’s happening throughout the entire show. Make the viewers figure it out on their own, don’t be lazy and just tell us what’s happening.
- For a show that’s set in this time of the Star Wars timeline, they botched it pretty hard. This is one of the most exciting and interesting points of time in the star wars universe, and they could’ve done something pretty spectacular if they had made this show with more respect to George Lucas’s ideas and the lore of Star Wars as a whole.
-I think Star Wars could make some of the best movies ever made if they stopped bringing in people who don’t know anything about Star Wars. Bring in fans, they’re the people who know the most about the lore of Star Wars
- one thing I like about the show is it looks good. The landscapes/buildings/clothing are done well. Very Star Wars-esque
