They changed the story line so much. Katara was flat which sucked cause I like the actress. Sokka has no character development and isn’t the sarcastic character we love. They skipped over a few episodes (like the canyon episode). Aang didn’t learn waterbending and wasn’t seen doing it until he becomes the koi fish monster. Yue now water bends and ozai seems to favor zuko over azula. I loved the special effects and costumes but the cameras for every fight scene cut away ever 1.5 seconds. I was honestly disappointed. I get they tried making it their own but if they wanted to do that they should’ve continued the story after korra. The characters seemed so flat and monotoned.
