A fast paced and gripping story definitly worth your time. First I want to say that I had never read michael crichton or even knew who he was. After watching and loving the jurassic park film and seeing the credits I noticed that it was based on a book. After finding the book at my library I decided to read it and woah what a book. I immediately fell in love with this book the story was gripping and I felt that you could create dinosaurs any day. The novel is a very scientific book with some surprisingly accurate data about dinosaurs (not all of it was correct but the idea that dinosaurs were warm blooded and had feathers was very ahead of its time). I also loved how it describes the dinosaurs as not real dinosaurs but rather how they might have and should look according to the park. I also loved the detail and suspense of the book however both the book and movie are very different from each other but it works very well and I love both equally however I do give the edge to the novel only slightly though. If you want a very suspenseful and cautionary tale of not so much science fiction anymore read this book. Definitly recommend it to anybody.
WARNING: this book is very graphically violent and deals with very complex ideas that are difficult to figure out for younger audiences. I would not recommend this book to anyone younger than 14.
