Oh my goodness, this Halle Bailey young lady can sing! I teared up a little at her rendition of "Part of Your World". Her acting perfectly captured the innocence, curiosity, and wonderment of Ariel. I could have done without the Awkwafina character and (imo) I didn't really buy Melissa McCarthy as an evil sea witch. I think Idina Menzel (esp with her vocal range) would have been better cast to sing "Poor Unfortunate Souls". Melissa was perfectly fine and did her best, but I think that Idina would have been next level. Those are my very minor complaints, such as they are. But, overall. I give it 4.5 stars...and I plan to see it again.
