Another unnecessary sequel. The first Avatar was perfect, from the pace to the story. It did not need a sequel, not to mention a sequel that to me personally makes no sense. Now there are people theorizing another Avatar film with a group of โevil fire peopleโ and by people I mean the inhabitants of the planet โPandoraโ. Plus the one thing I never understood from even the first film, why choose the name โPandoraโ for the planet? Isnโt the name Pandora synonymous with misfortune and ill tidings, such as Pandoraโs Box, the mysterious puzzle box from Hellraser, the same puzzle box that sent anyone who opened it and/or cut by its blade to hell to be tormented and turned into a cenobite? Not to mention Pandoraโs Box is also the name of a so called ancient artifact known for its unpredictable result of being opened? Are the creators trying to say that the planet is an unpredictable mystery box? Isnโt that any planet that humans explore? Isnโt Earth still a mysterious moment lace that requires more extensive exploration? Because last I checked, our planet should be called Pandora for it still withholding mysteries from us, we canโt for get literally every other planet in the universe. Why is that one planet special to deserve a name. Not to mention, I could not follow the plot in this movie to save my own life. It confused me! Why is that general or colonial dude still alive if humans canโt breathe the air on the planet, how did he get to one of those pods. Other questions I have are did he do the thing that happened to Jake at the end of the first one, take an unconscious native near the special tree and lie down next to it? Iโm still waiting for all my questions to be answered.
