What makes Brimstone truly incredible is its unapologetic portrayal of how men have used religion as a weapon- twisting scripture and spiritual authority to control, abuse, and destroy lives, especially those of women. Guy Pearce’s portrayal of the malevolent preacher is chilling because it’s disturbingly real. This isn’t fantasy. This happens , across cultures, across generations, when so-called “men of God” exploit the trust placed in them for their own power and perversion.

I’m disappointed in Bansali’s attempt at this production. All the actresses fail to capture the viewer’s interest. They are all missing the charm, charisma, and chemistry that we see in Bollywood. To be fair, it’s not worth watching, I was looking forward to being amazed and astonished but I’m left feeling bored.
