As an individual who doesnt LOVE the superhero genre, the previous Old Guard was something of an exciting and fresh find. A fun little run around of a guilty pleasure for me really. So much so that I was genuinely excited to hear they made a sequel. That excitement was quickly dashed by the realization that occasionally a movie sucks. Old guard 2 is a terrible effort by all involved. The storyline is loaded with oft used troupes and corny dialogs barely made palatable by a couple quasi decent choreographed fights, but barely. Avoid at least paying to see this. Maybe if its streaming and you are really bored give it a run. Nothing more. Sorry.
