Such a shame and a big disappointment.
The dialogue / script is at GCSE level. How on earth Adrian Dunbar allowed himself to take part and lead in such a second rate drama is a mystery. After the first twenty five minutes I couldn’t take any more and switched off.

A refreshing change from many other cop detective offerings on mainstream tv.
The scenery , environment & culture gives an insight into a different way of life (Lapland) especially as it’s often set on the border with Russia and highlights the strained relationship with the Russians. The stories & plots are excellent and the personal relationships between work & family characters is tastefully portrayed. Well worth watching.

Waited with great expectations since first being made aware of its completion and release.
My first impression was one of being slightly underwhelmed by it all.
However, it has grown on me with repeated listening although I still feel, so far, it lacks the punch and immediacy of some of his previous work.
I found the two vinyl pressings a disappointment even when played on different systems with quality components - both lacking in breadth & depth with vocals often sounding slightly “muddy & lacking clarity” especially when compared with the superb sound quality on the CD/DVD which is of extremely good.
My only criticism with the DVD would be that given the medium & technology now available it would have been nice for a mix of video & images rather than the endless repetitive water stream.
The whole package comprising book & photos brings it all nicely altogether. All in all a good buy.
