(Rating: 7.5/10)
A beautiful ending to the Quintuplets series that fleshes out (most) of the girls’ arcs, with only a few flaws.
Watching the 2 seasons beforehand is recommended, as this movie is primarily for the Quintuplet fanbase.
Assuming you’ve watched it already, the movie covers the school festival and final arcs. Each girl has her time to shine, with Miku, Nino, and Yotsuba’s arcs being the best. The movie complements each of the three’s love for Futaro and their quintuplet relationship. Ichika and (in particular) Itsuki’s arcs are more moderate and subpar. I wish all 5 of the girls had their arcs written well.
Visuals and music are good, but that’s it. Nothing exceptional to stand out. As for the movie being rushed, the problem isn’t that, but story deficits that would have been there regardless if this was a movie or 3rd season.
Overall, well worth watching for Quintuplets fans. The final decision may have you angry if you’re religiously devoted to a certain character, but that shouldn’t detract from the movie itself.
