It teaches you what real life is-its not black and white, right or wrong. It teaches you what happens when you can not tolerate your own feelings (due to childhood traumas, and other programming, and what not)and have to “use” in order to “not to feel it”. You can not get out of this cycle without deep long painful psychological work and healing. Jackie is used to have a rollercoaster in her life, to fight, to live a hard life, she needs all these problems she creates. Once the storm is over, she starts using again. It is a pattern. She cannot sustain calm life (like most of us), happy life, good relationships-thats too hard for her, because in the calmness you meet your worst enemy-yourself, and instead, you mask it with drugs, you create a new identity-nurse Jackie.
