I've read this book and it's reviews and am trying to be as neutral as possible. While maybe it makes good points about "the transgender craze", the author makes way too many references to masturbation, orgasms and "erotic zones" for any reader to be comfortable.
As well, although she spends a lot of time exploring other peoples perspectives, I found a lot of the examples and anecdotal evidence she provides do not align with the experiences of most trans youth. (Most examples are quite extreme and are most likely outliers).
However, I will note I am not discrediting her or saying she is a 'facist' or the like. I am simply pointing out that some aspects of the book do not hold up to par.
That's why I encourage people to not just read this book (whether you agree or disagree with the author) but to do further research onto the topic with perspectives from both sides.
