Avengers : Endgame is the Prestige of Marvel to what was laid before and what lies beyond!
This journey of Marvel would be as exciting as a roller-coaster ride and a flight to the future if you'd traveled with Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since the release of Iron Man in 2008; the moment an universe unlike anything else was created, changing the one that we live in, forever.
How often audiences get to glimpse a film that invests all of its substance in every scene of its three hours run time? What 'The Return of the King' was to 'The Lord of the Rings' is 'Endgame' to 'The Avengers'. There are two ways this film can be defined. Bloated, the first, the one that comes easily to mind in this world of negativity. The other, well paced and constructed film that can be distinguished as three distinctive films, each nearly an hour, put together in to one gigantic amalgamation of an art that Kevin and team started drawing a decade ago!
Everyone knows well what the mad titan Thanos accomplished with his famous snap at the end of Infinity War. Following the grave events of Infinity War, Endgame is all about the grievance and course correction of what miserably went wrong.
Marvel's secrecy of hiding the plot elements in the teasers and trailers gave them an upper hand in this film to execute their plans in a very stealthy way in which they'd also really succeeded.
Yes, the film enjoys and also exploits the three acts of the film with a slight pinch of suspense. The beginning, the middle and the ending as conveyed earlier, each segment has an unique flavor to it that's way apart from the other two. The start is all drama and talks. It's from the middle the trickier part unwraps its wings. From there on, there's no turning back as the old say. There's adrenaline rush during the middle and adrenaline pump during the climax. Be prepared to lose your throat!
Marvel has braved quite a few wild choices here that will break your heart than blowing your brains. Another aspect is that Endgame is also the first brainer in all of the 22 Marvel films. It's a bit complicated at times. May even, seem a little flawed. And, it is. Yet, the choices they've made, still do their intended job. Even if they're not in favor for your heart or your favorite character.
Other than the former members, balancing the power of Captain Marvel should have been a difficult task for the makers. But, they have even glorified her entrance even without bringing a slight disturbance to the glorification of the rest of the cast members. That's where Christopher Markus' and Steven Mcfeely 's belief in their scripts becomes the truth, shaping the fundamentals of the future MCU. It can even be said that the tackling of such magnanimous script can only be done by a duos like Russo Brothers. Look at their career graph! From their solo War of The Winter Soldier to the Infinity of Endgame, it's the ladder of inevitable growth! While Infinity War is itself a contained film, Endgame is a farewell letter that's not contained yet, convincing enough.
Alan Sylvestri's score adds touch of sympathy during losses and sparks goosebumps in the bones during the highest of highs. Russo's long term collaborator Trent Opal continues to amuses people with his eyes for photographing shots gorgeously.
Absolutely, there are few characters given lesser importance than some other as if they're orphaned. And, you'll know it's a valid case once the film ends.
In the end, Endgame is an epic reminiscence that triggers the old school memories and restores anew.
