The movie starts with a creepy scene of a grown man trying to befriend a little girl. It goes on to introduce a coming apocalypse that only the girl and her dads can avert. They end up killing one of the dads and they save the world, not in the sense that anything is better, but that things don't get worse. A loving family that is explicitly referenced as being completely innocent gets to sacrifice a member for the world to stay the same. They don't even make the world the movies set in any better than reality, both of the fathers are shown in flashbacks to have been victims of homophobic attacks, and one of the group members who shows up is the guy that attacked them. I found the ending disgusting. The only completely good part of the movie was Bautista, he gave a good performance and I really enjoyed him as a calm but inherently threatening individual.
