This album accompanied me for months as I went through a divorce. Driving through star-studded countryside, Neil on full blast - it helped somehow.

I was thrilled to find this in a bookshop as I wasn't aware of a third offering in the Rose series. I found this more serious than the previous two, which figures as parenthood is a serious business. I loved the usual bmi measuring, and the care that went into the Hudson project. These books are invaluable - may we expect another?

The shock of the opening pages ensure I was hooked. Set in the freezing wastelands of the arctic, the gales blow from murder to murder as the plot unfolds. I was duped, quite sure I knew who the villain of the piece was only to be astounded along with the rest of the crew when the true culprit stood up. That is the gift of a master story teller as Dan Brown surely is. From the first sentence to the last the reader is taken through a series of hoops, given fascinating insight into the natural world, the scheming of politicians, the concerns of the intelligence agencies entrusted with keeping the avarice of industry in check. A fabulous romp when and if you need an escape for a few hours.
