I have one of the Pioneer Women’s crock pot. I put in a chuck roast (which by the way is not cheap to buy these days) potatoes and onions. Poured in beef broth and turned it on for 8 hours on slow. It was doing great until about 90 minutes later when I just happened to notice the crock pot completely shut down - it had died!! It’s a good thing we weren’t out somewhere shopping. So I had to get my Dutch oven out and transfer everything in it and put it in the oven to finish cooking the expensive chuck roast. Do not buy anything from the Pioneer Women, especially her crock pot — everything is made in China. She says it’s because she wants to make it cheaper for the consumer, but in reality it’s cheaper for her! Now I have to buy a new crock pot — how is that saving me money, Ree? When your products don’t last long, and the consumer has to go out and purchase a new product, that is actually costing us more money. But as long as it’s cheaper for you to have the products made in China rather than the USA, then I guess it’s okay for you! By the way, I won’t be buying another Pioneer Woman crock pot - I’ll buy one that is made here in America and I guarantee you it will last longer than 2 years!
