Frankly, I'm beginning to think that the people who produce content for Netflix deliberately make the plots on many of its series long, complex and confusing for a reason. It's to generate what are known as "rewatches". These series are graded based on the total number of minutes that people spend watching them and that is what determines the amount of revenue they receive and whether there will be additional seasons. This is only partly based on how many people watch a series, but also on how many times the same viewers rewatch the same series over and over. A good example was "Wednesday" with Jenna Ortega. I ended up having to rewatch the whole series five times to fully understand all the various plot twists, but I loved the series and it was very entertaining. In contrast, the plot of "The Asunta Case" was also very long, complex and confusing, but nowhere near as entertaining as Wednesday, and certainly not worthy of a rewatch.
