I avoided this game for a year based on the reviews and criticisms that it was just a boring walking simulator. Everything I heard about it sounded like my worst nightmare. Took the plunge in Jan 2021 and I have to say I haven't been this obsessed with a game in years. It's hard to articulate why, best just give it a go for yourself. You will either love it or hate it, but for me it's the best 50 hours I spent in a game for a long time.

Not sure why some reviews are so harsh, admittedly this film has flaws, but then most of the Indy films do. The opening scene is particularly good, even if the deepfake deaging is a tad hit and miss. What follows next is quite a traditional action adventure. The ending is perhaps where the most critical devision lies, and whilst the final set piece seems inevitable, the direction it goes in is, in the end, sentimental rather than bombastic.
