bro i swear this show was such a letdown. i was so damn excited bcs sweet home is literally my favorite webtoon ever. i reread that shit multiple times and it never got boring. so when netflix announced the drama i was like HOLY SHIT finally. then it drops and from the FIRST ep i already knew they were gonna ruin it. the pacing was slow af, scenes dragged for no reason, and it killed all the tension. and the whole point of sweet home is the psychological stuff, ppl turning into monsters cuz of their own twisted desires. that’s what made the webtoon peak. but in the drama? nah they completely dropped the ball. it felt like they didn’t even care about that part, they just went “let’s make it an action show.” and the action wasn’t even good dude. repetitive, mid fights, nothing intense. if you’re gonna cut the psychological horror at least make the action insane, but nope. the cgi??? holy shit don’t even get me started. it was so stiff it felt like some claymation project. every time a monster showed up it completely killed the mood instead of making it scary. and then the story changes. they skipped important shit, added random filler, and the ending? trash. straight up trash. felt like they just slapped the sweet home name on some generic zombie/monster series. idk how ppl can say this was good if they actually read the webtoon. like no way. the webtoon destroys the drama in every single category. story? webtoon. pacing? webtoon. vibes? webtoon. emotion? webtoon. even action and visuals? webtoon still wins. the show didn’t win anywhere. this was just sad man. how people are out here calling this “good” is beyond me, their standards are honestly weird as hell.
