This movie never leaves you. As Burt Lancaster(Ned), the story slowly unfolds as Ned swims and walks from pool to pool. The closer he gets to his home, the darker side of his past is revealed. It becomes obvious that Ned is creating a reality that may not be true.. He seems to ignore things that dont fit the narrative he's created for himself. The ending is jarring.It's a movie that makes a lasting impression.
